Spring Equinox 2026

Winter is finally at an end! Along with the warm spring weather, comes the seasonal wardrobe changes that make Canadian fashion so expansive and exciting. It’s time to trade out our parkas for lighter jackets, and our winter boots for an array of other options… perhaps even sandals!? Well, maybe not quite yet, but soon. And this means that PEDICURE SEASON IS UPON US! Really, every season is pedicure season, but our feet can have different needs at different times of the year.

Benefits of regular pedicures:

  • trimmed nails, prevented or managed ingrowns

  • controlled calluses, removed corns, treated cracks

  • exfoliated and moisturized skin

  • sore feet are soothed, circulation improved

  • pretty lacquer for joy or self-expression

  • plus you get to visit your favorite esthetics team

At Rebel Esthetics by Renaissance, we offer several pedicure options including a Spa Pedicure, Sports Pedicure, SeaBD pedicure, Reflexology Pedicure, Walk the Beach Pedicure, and Hot Stone Pedicure. We can even do a simple polish change if that’s all you're looking for.

If you can avoid trimming your own nails for a week before your appointment, that’s great, but we can work with whatever you’ve got. Also don’t feel like you need to shave your legs for us -we’ve seen it all and will never judge you in all your mammalian glory. That being said, we do offer waxing services if you want to book a leg wax along with a pedicure.

If you are able to, we recommend that you do some basic at-home maintenance on your feet in between professional foot-care services. Ideally, every day after bathing, dry your feet thoroughly (including between your toes) and apply a moisturizer, balm, or body butter. We love Seaflora’s Wild Sea Kelp Body Lotion for this! Choose socks made of breathable materials, when possible. Once a week, gently sand or file any particularly rough spots and do an all-over scrub. Seaflora’s Oil-Free Seaweed Body Polish is our top pick. Follow that with your favorite moisturizer. If you’re especially dry, you can use a cuticle oil, like CND Solar Oil on your cuticles and any cracks or places that need a little extra love.

Clients often ask us, “How often should I get a pedicure?” Depending on your homecare habits, lifestyle, and individual body’s needs, your feet could use a professional pedicure service anywhere from every three to eight weeks.

factors to consider:

  • how fast your toenails grow

  • if you are prone to callussing, cracks, or ingrowns

  • how much exposure to the elements your feet get

  • the feet of runners, dancers, martial artists, commute walkers, hikers, teachers, and diabetics may require special attention

rough time schedule for professional pedicures:

general maintenance and polish       - 4-6 weeks

heavy callus buildup or cracking   - 3-4 weeks

barefoot or sandal wearers  - 3-5 weeks

athletes, etcetera         - 3-5 weeks

basic winter care         - 4-8 weeks

Whether you’re barefoot or booted, routine maintenance helps keep your feet healthy and happy year-round!
